Fly Austrian to Los Angeles; Rome cancelled
Austrian suspends link from Vienna to Rome. The route to Los Angeles will take off in 2017.
After nearly 60 years, on November 9, 2016, Austrian has ended its link from Vienna to Rome. Occasional flights to Rome will still operate as part of the 2016/17 Winter Timetable. Passengers with existing bookings will be transferred onto Eurowings and Lufthansa.
Off to Hollywood: Starting on April 10, 2017, a Boeing 777 will take off up to six times per week from Vienna to Los Angeles, making it the airline’s first destination on the west coast of the USA. This means that there will be 44 flights per week flying non-stop from Vienna to North America.
