New Lufthansa Airbus 350 takes off in Munich
The most modern and environmentally friendly long-distance airplane, the A350-900, now takes off from Lufthansa in Munich. First destinations are Delhi and Boston. The airplane can accommodate 293 passengers: 48 in Business Class, 21 in Premium Economy and 224 in Economy Class. It consumes 25 percent less kerosene, produces 25 percent less emissions and makes significantly less noise when taking off than comparable airplane types. The cabin equipment on board is also improved all around – more leg room and luggage space, an innovative lighting concept for a pleasant day/night rhythm or individual on-board entertainment. Passengers can make a selection or add playlists on their tablets or smartphones even from home with the “Lufthansa Companion App”. On board, everything will be synchronised with the screen in the seat, while the mobile end device can be used as a second screen.
