General redevelopment of the A4 motorway direction Vienna Airport

Planning for possible traffic jams: Until the end of November 2017, the eastern A4 motorway will be renovated between the Schwechat and Vienna Airport exits. Passengers are advised to leave plenty of time to get there. Where possible, you should use alternative means of transport such as the AIRail (from Vienna Main Station) or the CAT (from Vienna Mitte station).

The roads are affected by roadworks in both directions. Speeds will be limited to 80 km an hour. The A4 interchange to the airport is still available in both directions. An alternative route is provided by federal road 9. Coming from the west, you can reach the Schwechat-East junction via the S1 express way. If you are traveling to the airport from the east, you can get to the B9 via federal roads 10 and 60.
