Biometric facial recognition at Hamburg Airport

Lufthansa makes contactless travel possible at Hamburg Airport.

Thanks to biometric facial recognition, a look at a special camera will be all it takes to get through security and complete boarding. The procedure can currently be used by all Miles & More participants. Members who want to use the service must register once for the Star Alliance Biometrics procedure at least 24 hours before the flight. In addition to Hamburg, biometric face recognition is already possible in Munich, Frankfurt and Vienna.
Lufthansa assures that personal data is encrypted and stored securely in compliance with data protection laws.
