Lufthansa Group to operate up to 50 weekly flights to Japan in summer 2027

In response to growing demand, Lufthansa Group is significantly expanding its services to Japan for the summer 2027 schedule. Up to 50 flights per week are planned, and tickets are available to book now.

The key highlight is the seasonal reinstatement of Lufthansa’s direct service from Frankfurt to Nagoya. From 29 March 2027, the route will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Flight LH736 departs Frankfurt at 14:10 and arrives in Nagoya at 09:35 local time the following day. The return flight, LH737, departs Nagoya at 11:30 and arrives in Frankfurt at 18:30 local time.

Nagoya is one of Japan’s leading industrial and economic centres. Aichi Prefecture is a major hub for the country’s automotive industry and other manufacturing sectors. With its rich samurai heritage, Nagoya also provides convenient access to key destinations in the region, including the former imperial capital of Kyoto. Via Lufthansa’s Frankfurt hub, travellers departing from Nagoya can connect to numerous destinations across Europe and South America.

Daily flights from Frankfurt to Tokyo Narita
Lufthansa will also introduce a daily seasonal service to Tokyo Narita from 28 March 2027, offering business and leisure travellers more options. Flight LH710 departs Frankfurt at 13:45 and arrives in Narita at 09:30 local time the following day. The return flight, LH711, departs Tokyo Narita at 11:20 and arrives in Frankfurt at 18:40.

Lufthansa will continue to operate daily flights from both Munich and Frankfurt to Tokyo Haneda, the region’s other major international airport. Both routes will be served by the Boeing 787-9 featuring the Allegris cabin configuration, with 28 seats in Business Class, 28 in Premium Economy and 231 in Economy Class.
