Austrian Airlines receives multiple accolades at the 2026 Skytrax Awards

Austrian Airlines has achieved several top rankings at the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, particularly in the categories recognising cabin crew and service excellence.

The Austrian flag carrier received awards in several categories, ranking first for “Best Cabin Crew in Europe” and “Best Cabin Crew in Western Europe”, as well as second for “Best Airline Staff in Europe”. Austrian Airlines was also the only European airline to feature among the world’s top 20 cabin crews, securing 19th place in the global ranking. The awards are based on a worldwide passenger survey.

Awards based on passenger feedback
The World Airline Awards are recognised internationally as a benchmark for excellence in the airline industry and are based on the results of the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey. This year’s Skytrax survey gathered feedback from passengers in more than 100 countries and evaluated over 325 airlines. The winners of the 2026 World Airline Awards were announced in London on 18 September.

Austrian Airlines has received numerous awards across various categories in recent years, including “Best Cabin Crew in Europe” in 2023 and 2025. The airline has also been recognised in categories such as “Best Airline Staff in Europe”, “Best Airline in Western Europe”, “Best Premium Economy Dining” and “Best Business Class Dining”.
